6th EXYLENT 2012- Day 2

The day started off with a competition in which students had to implement S-tracking without using any sensor. Students were instructed about controlling motors and fine tuning them using their own logic. Second competition consisted of 8 tracking, with circles of different diameters, letting students explore the role of axis and to discover differential drive. Obstacle detection using touch sensor and decision-making using ‘switch’ construct was also implemented by the students. In the afternoon session, students were asked to make a 2-way ball thrower to give them more practice on structure building. The ball thrower was placed in the middle of two boxes. The robot first had to move a fixed distance to throw the ball in one box, and then move back a fixed distance to throw the ball in the second box.
